imago venture studio’s vision is to establish an INNOVATION ECOSYSTEM that creates opportunities for entrepreneurs to develop an entrepreneurial career model and build exciting business ventures. Our promise is to assemble great teams, give them access to a pool of resources, spin their projects off into successful startup ventures and nurture them on their journey from idea to exit.

FULL-STACK STUDIO MODEL

Incubation without the full set of resources makes no sense and likely to set projects up for failure. Duplicating these resources with every single startup incubated makes even less sense. The imago venture studio model builds on a set of in-house capabilities and resources that we lend to each project team we build together with under our guardianship whilst carefully considering their real needs in every single stage of their lifecycle.

THE HiQ CONNECTION

Initiatives under the HiQ brand are INNOVATION ECOSYSTEM ENABLERS that create international market expansion opportunities for tech startups. HiQ Global, HiQ 360º and HiQ Connect all aim to build the strength of existing startup and innovation ecosystems by helping them connect and diversify. With full access to HiQ, imago venture studio will tap into a network of 300+ institutional partners and a pool of 50+ senior advisors to build great products and launch innovative companies in 20+ countries in Europe and Southeast Asia.

MULTI-MARKET VENTURE BUILDING

The idea of a multiple market-based venture building is to engage a network of partner organisations and individuals at various stages of the full venture building journey from multiple countries. This allows us to start ideation in country “A”, product development and incubation managed by the Studio in country “B” with commercialisation and growth taking place in both or either country “A” and country “B” oering our startups access to regional markets. The organisational structure is light, agile and flexible and the strength of the organisation derives from its network-like set up that allows it to expand its resources beyond its in-house capacity but also to oer access for its ventures to international markets through multiple channels.

Research on the global startup ecosystem indicates that on average 92% of startups fail. More pressingly, 72% of investor-backed upstart tech companies fail within the first 20 months in spite of raising an average of USD 1.3 Million in total funding.

Startups created in studios generate traction faster, reach Seed round twice as quickly as traditional startups and also require 41-47% less time to reach Series A/B/C. Most importantly, 60% of them actually do reach Series A. Beyond closing consecutive rounds quicker, Studio-backed startups also exit faster. It takes 5 years for studio startups to exit through M&A or 33% faster than traditional startups, and 7.5 years to IPO or 31% less time than traditional startups.
